Blood West

During the same Prime trial month I claimed Sands of Aura, I also grabbed Blood West. It had been on my wishlist due to allegedly being an immersive sim as well as for having been made by Hyperstrange, the developers of Elderborn, which I had quite enjoyed. I had been somewhat hesitant if I wanted Blood West due to the setting (I'm not the biggest fan of) and the game's low-fidelity visuals. But free is a good price. And then there are the curvaceous prodigal daughter enemies -- they certainly grab your attention on the game's store page.

Deathloop

Deathloop (stylized with quotations and in caps as "DEATHLOOP") garnered a lot of confusion on its way to release. Somehow the game's premise appeared to be hard to grasp -- at least for some vocal percentage. Every new trailer or news article about the game had more than one person asking what it actually was. The reveal of the player invasion mechanic only added to the confusion -- it was as if people had never heard of such a thing in FromSoftware's games for instance.

Deus Ex: Invisible War

The sequel to Deus Ex takes the original game and cuts down every aspect of it; areas are smaller, there are fewer biomod slots, and the game is much shorter. This led a number of fans to dislike the game, some even deny the whole existence of Deus Ex: Invisible War.

Deus Ex

Many claim Deus Ex to be the best video game of all time. I knew, even before playing, that I wouldn't think so, simply because of its genre: it's not fantasy. I'm not too good with first person shooters either. Luckily, Deus Ex is not a pure FPS game.
