Achilles: Legends Untold

The second title in my humbling soulslike backlog block was Achilles: Legends Untold -- more Greek mythology. Like Sands of Aura, this one is an attempt at a top-down perspective take on the genre. I'd say the execution in this one is better: the fixed-direction camera, lack of platforming, and a mini-map -- and an actual map -- prevent you from getting confused, and being able to lock to a target keeps aiming and facing clear.

Asterigos: Curse of the Stars

Last year's Humbling Soulslike Bundle would've been quite the deal if I hadn't already played/had half the games in it. But even with containing mere 3 wishlisted items it was still worth the asking price. The first game from this little soulslike block on my backlog the bundle formed was -- chosen arbitrarily (and because its name is kind of similar to the previous game I played and the names looked satisfying on the list like that) -- Asterigos: Curse of the Stars.

Astor: Blade of the Monolith

Astor: Blade of the Monolith is a third person action-adventure game by a Colombian developer, C2 Game Studio. The game is colorful and straightforward simple fun -- as I expected/hoped it would be. The only truly negative aspect that hampered my enjoyment was how 100% completion involves a collectible hunt, with very little aid provided by the game.
