For the sake of tradition, let's start this post by checking how the Yogscast (Lewis & Simon) is doing... Evidently, they dropped from their rank 14 to 32nd, even though they gained 3.6 million subscribers over the year and are now at 6.7 million total.

Last year, I grew even more picky of what I watch on YouTube. Most of the videos in my subscriptions go unwatched these days.

The Best of YouTube 2011

In 2011, I watched more YouTube videos than ever before. Gaming content in particular spent a heavily increased amount of hours in my browser's flash player. Although, towards the end of the year, I found myself watching fewer videos fully or just didn't watch them actively, doing other things at the same time. Nevertheless, here are some clips (and their producers) I found enjoyable this year.

If You Ever Find Yourself

...in a need for very good trance music, I can strongly recommend you In Trance We Trust 004, mixed by DJ Johan Gielen. I have had the CD since its release year, 2000, and now in 2010 it's still damn awesome compilation of some truly amazing trance. It haven't lost its freshness a bit in ten years, and probably never will.

Playlist: Female Fronted Symphonic Metal

I finally managed pull together some kind of playlist, under the title 'female fronted symphonic metal'. I started this little project some time ago (quite awhile actually), intending to make a playlist that subscribers at Last.fm can listen to. However, Last.fm's collection is more than lacking, and even putting together 45 good songs under the title proved to be quite challenging. So, no listening to it, at least not at Last.fm.

I was reading shouts on Children of Bodom at Last.fm few days ago, and someone had said there:"All Bodom is good Bodom". I gave it a laugh but then I realized how true it was - all Bodom really is good Bodom.
