Playlist: Female Fronted Symphonic Metal

I finally managed pull together some kind of playlist, under the title 'female fronted symphonic metal'. I started this little project some time ago (quite awhile actually), intending to make a playlist that subscribers at Last.fm can listen to. However, Last.fm's collection is more than lacking, and even putting together 45 good songs under the title proved to be quite challenging. So, no listening to it, at least not at Last.fm.

The playlist features some truly great songs like Take the Devil in Me by Leaves' Eyes and Consign to Oblivion by Epica. There's also some nice ones I discovered while searching for new bands/songs to get some variation.

If you don't know the said song, you might wonder what is Cradle of Filth doing in there. But the song definitely includes female vocals, which are done by Liv Kristine, and the song is quite good too - the only good song by CoF actually (in my opinion anyway).

Funnily enough, Liv Kristine appears in the list under four different band names; Cradle of Filth, Leaves' Eyes, Theatre of Tragedy, and Delain. She has a delightful voice, though, so she indubitably earns her place.

The playlist's song order is not too important - I usually listen to it in shuffle anyway.
